"Flowers in the attic"

I was perusing through one of my favorite tattoo websites (don't judge me, I'm obsessed), checkoutmyink.com, and I came across a tattoo of one of my favorite pieces of art.

"Flowers in the attic" by Jason Byron Nelson.

I  l o v e  it.

This image also shares it's name with the novel Flowers in the Attic, by Virginia Andrews. From what I know about it (yay google), the novel is about siblings who are locked in an attic by thier grandmother. It tells of their life struggle, being trapped and deprived of the essentials required to live. I am super duper excited to begin reading it. :)
That is however, when I'm finished reading the other 3 books I'm currently trying to chew, swallow, and digest into this head of mine. Scatter brained, perhaps?

On the note of my other readings, I am currently reading the non-fiction book Guns, Germs, and Steel, by Jared Diamond. It is about "the fates of human societies".
Incredibly interesting? Yes. Incredibly hard to finish? Yes. This is my third attempt. Wish me luck.

Second on the Reading List is I Never Metaphor I didn't like, by Mardy Grothe.
Cute and quirky book about the author's favorite metaphoric quotes. Wonderful for a 5 minute pick me up. Not so good if attempting to devour all at once. After about 20 minutes the quotes all begin to merge together and form one gigantic book with arms and legs chasing you and grabbing at you; trying to suffocate you within it's pages! I do not lie.

And last is A Certain Je Ne Sais Quoi, by Chloe Rhodes.
"The Origin of Foreign Words Used in English."
The only phrase that seems to stick so far is Cherchez La Femme...
Look it up.
